The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor....Luke 4:18-19

Apostle Gwendolyn C. Taylor

Apostle Gwendolyn C. Taylor is the eighth child of Eddie & Mazell Cain and a native of Davis Station, South Carolina.  She’s the wife of Pastor Willie F. Taylor and the mother of her adopted children; Derrick Sanford, Stacey Richardson Thames, and Treariyarna Patterson. She’s a graduate of Scott’s Branch High School.  She possesses three academic degrees: a Doctorate of Sacred Theology, a Masters of Divinity and Bachelors of Religious Education.

At the tender age of eighteen (18), she received Jesus Christ as her personal savior. This was the beginning of a journey which created a loving relationship between her and God.  Apostle Taylor’s personal life experiences with God attributes to her great love and compassion for God’s people.   Her Pastor and Mother in the Lord for over twenty four (24) years, Apostle Ocelia Blue created an atmosphere for a lifestyle of prayer.  While sitting under her tutelage, a seed of prayer was planted.  The power of prayer is so prevalent throughout her lifestyle it leaves an everlasting impression on those that comes in contact with her.

In 1996, she relocated to Boston, Massachusetts to be with her beloved husband where she thought she would spend her years in ministry, however, God orchestrated another plan.  God instructed her to return to South Carolina to be an ambassador for Him, who would lead His sheep and introduce many to the Kingdom of God.  Lead by the Holy Spirit, ten (10) years ago, she founded Miracle Deliverance Outreach Ministries of Columbia, South Carolina.

In ministry, God brings people along your path that will be used to take you to the next dimension.  For Apostle Taylor, God has placed Bishop Freddie B. Marshall in her life to be her spiritual father and mentor in the Gospel.

Bodies have been healed, blinded eyes have received sight, the dead has been raised, and lives have been changed as a testament of her commitment to leading God’s people. Apostle Taylor recognizes and accounts her development and anointed life to “Nobody, but God”!  She often voices this statement to God:  “I don’t want your Glory; I just want to be used for Your Glory”!
